The actual payout follows the policy wording and accepted claim.
The nominee receives the death benefit defined by the selected option, provided the policy is in force and the claim meets the policy terms.
A pure term option normally has no maturity payout. A return-of-premium or savings-linked option pays only what its document specifically promises.
Age, health, tobacco use, occupation, cover amount, term, payment term, payout option and underwriting can all change the final quote.
